Trail projects completed with White Mountain National Forest, Access Fund, Appalachian Mountain Club, Vermont Youth Conservation Corps, and numerous dedicated volunteers. While hand tools were the primary means of construction, some projects required supplemental use of powered tools, such as rotary hammers for rock drilling and chainsaws for felling. Mechanized equipment, including Canycoms, Ditch Witches, Dingos, and DR brush mowers, was used on select projects for material transport, trail construction, and mowing.Â
See Rigging Systems page for examples of rigging-intensive projects.
